Danish Senior Citizen's Apartment Foundation is a non-profit organization incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of Alberta. The members of the Foundation, which include the residents of Dana Village, elect a board of directors at an annual meeting. The Foundation is also registered under the Income Tax Act as a charity. The Foundation issues income tax receipts for donations and invests the donations in Dana Village. For people that may be interested in living at Dana Village sometime in the future, the Foundation has created a wait list system whereby you can reserve a place in the line.It works as follows: You submit your name and pay a $ 500.00 refundable reservation deposit to the Foundation. When a suite becomes available, the people on the wait list will be offered the suite in the order of date and time of application.If you are not ready when a suite is offered, you retain your place in the line for the next time. The Interest earned by the Foundation on your deposit will pay for your membership in the Foundation.Your deposit is refundable at any time upon request.
